KEY PROTECTION EQUIP

Mobile Full-Spectrum Autonomous Countermeasure Equipment for Important Point Targets (PASAS-1 Type I)

Purpose and Functions

Primarily used to protect important point targets against common precision-guided strikes, the equip- ment provides all-aspect autonomous detection and tracking of incoming threats and can execute measures such as laser countermeasures and GNSS/navigation jamming to help prevent precision hits and damage to protected assets. It also provides effective protection means for important targets against precision-guided attacks, significantly enhancing survivability during air strikes.

It can be expanded for the protection of various point, linear, and area targets.

Applicable Scenarios

Suitable for protecting ground-based fixed single-site targets where the target itself has no suitable location for installation and deployment. It can effectively counter typical air-strike weapons and munitions, including Hsiung Feng IIE (HF-2E), Yun Feng missile, ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System), JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition) GNSS/GPS-guided bombs, Paveway II (GBU-12) laser-guided bombs, the BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile, JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile), and JSOW (Joint Stand-Off Weapon).

Deployment and Operation

The equipment can be stored near the protected area. During peacetime-to-wartime transition, it can be moved into the protected area by manual handling or vehicle transport, and positioned on the side facing the expected threat direction. Installation is completed once on-site power supply, communi- cations, and control connections are in place.

Prior to engagement, power on and start the equip- ment via the command-and-control center or a local control terminal; it will then carry out protection tasks fully automatically.
