KEY PROTECTION EQUIP

Semi-active Laser-Guided Weapon Jamming Equip- ment for Important Targets (AAPNS-1 Type I)

Purpose and Functions

Primarily used for terminal protection of important targets against semi-active laser-guided weapon strikes, the equipment performs fully automatic jamming and denial interference against incoming semi-active laser-guided weapons to help prevent precision hits and damage to protected assets. It provides effective protection means against laser precision-guided attacks on important targets, significantly enhancing survivability during air strikes.

Applicable Scenarios

Suitable for protecting ground-based fixed targets such as power plants, water plants, and radio and television buildings. It can effectively counter typical air-strike weapons and munitions, including Paveway II (GBU-12) laser-guided bombs and JSOW (Joint Stand-Off Weapon). This equipment requires optional detection and warning equipment for exter- nal cueing.

Deployment and Operation

The equipment can be deployed at a safe standoff distance next to the protected asset. Installation is completed once on-site power supply, communica- tions, and control connections are in place. Prior to engagement, power on and start the equipment via the command-and-control center or a local control terminal; with the support of external cueing information, it will then carry out protection tasks fully automatically.
