WARTIME VENTILATION EQUIPMENT

DJF-1 Electric & Foot-Operated Dual-Purpose Fan

Application

This fan is a gas-filtering ventilation protection device for civil air defense projects. It is used when power supply is damaged in wartime, defending against nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. Driven manually by foot power in wartime, it meets the requirements for gas-filtering ventilation. With normal power supply in peacetime, it serves as an ideal ventilation device for civil air defense works, air-raid basements, underground hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and other facilities. It features large air volume, high wind pressure and easy conversion between peacetime and wartime modes.

Installation Instructions

Prior to installation, inspect all connecting parts of the fan and check for friction between blades and the casing. Adjust the clearance between air inlet and impeller as per drawings and keep the unit horizontal.

If the frame is delivered in separate parts, assemble them into a complete frame according to the dimension drawing of Model DJF-1 fan. Fix the frame and gearbox with a total of 10 anchor bolts as specified. Align the two axes concentrically, and install taper pins on the hinge coupling at joints. Finally, conduct trial run for switching between electric and foot-operated modes following the operation manual. The mode switch handle is located on one side of the gearbox.

Main Technical Parameters

Wartime (Four-person foot operation):When foot rotation speed reaches 2800 r/min, the air volume is no less than 1200 m³/h, and wind pressure is no less than 1200 Pa.

Peacetime (Electric operation):Motor power: 1.1 kW, rated voltage: 380 V, rotation speed: 1400 r/min;Air volume: 2600–3060 m³/h, wind pressure: 900–600 Pa.
