KEY PROTECTION EQUIP

Autonomous Laser-Decoy Equipment Against Laser-Guided Weapons for Important Linear Targets (LASNB-1 Type I)

Purpose and Functions

Primarily used to protect important linear targets against laser-guided weapon strikes, the equipment can generate directed laser decoys to lure incoming laser-guided weapons away from the original target and toward the laser decoy, helping prevent preci- sion hits and damage to protected linear assets and significantly enhancing survivability during air strikes.

Applicable Scenarios

Suitable for protecting linear targets such as bridges, airport runways, key transportation corridors, and utility tunnels. It can effectively counter typical air-strike weapons and munitions, including Paveway II (GBU-12) laser-guided bombs and JSOW (Joint Stand-Off Weapon). By luring incoming laser-guided weapons to an off-target impact point, it helps minimize damage from the strike.

Deployment and Operation

During peacetime-to-wartime transition, the equip- ment can be rapidly installed on both sides of the linear target and linearly dispersed along the target’s alignment. Installation is completed once on-site power supply, communications, and control connections are in place. Prior to engagement, after powering on and starting the equipment via the command-and-control center or a local control terminal, it can carry out protection tasks fully automatically.
