A9H-Q Type Anti-Explosion Wave Valve

Application & Working Principle

This valve delivers pressure stabilization and shock wave attenuation. It remains fully open under normal operating conditions to allow smooth flow of medium in the pipeline.

When a shock wave arrives, the main valve disc closes rapidly under wave pressure to block the shock wave outside. Residual shock wave entering the valve is guided into the attenuation chamber by the auxiliary valve. The pressure drops sharply via diffusion effect, eliminating destructive force of the shock wave.

Specially designed for water supply and drainage systems of underground civil air defense projects, it provides effective protection against blast waves, biological and chemical agents.

The DN100 A9H-Q type anti-explosion wave valve has passed simulated nuclear explosion tests. It operates reliably and meets the blast resistance standard for Grade 5 civil air defense works.

Installation Requirements

Install the valve on water inlet pipes and pressure drainage pipes inside the protected area of civil air defense basements. For pipelines penetrating exterior walls or roof slabs, mount the valve on the pipe inside the wall or beneath the slab.

Prior to installation, check flexible operation of the main valve and tightness of connecting parts. Secure the valve firmly with even stress distribution. Install support brackets at the bottom for large-bore models.
