WARTIME VENTILATION EQUIPMENT

LWP Type Oil-Mesh Dust Filter

Application

The LWP type oil-mesh dust filter is an essential coarse filter for both clean ventilation and gas-filtering ventilation ducts. In wartime, it filters coarse explosive residues; in peacetime, it removes large dust particles from the air.

This filter is suitable for cleaning dusty air with an average dust concentration of 0.5 mg/m³.

Operating Instructions

Before use, clean the filter in a cleaning tank, let it dry, then soak it in mineral oil (preferably No. 20 engine oil). Place it on a drying rack to drain excess oil before installation.

The LWP filter can be installed horizontally, vertically, or in a herringbone configuration. The filter frame can be custom-designed according to specific requirements, referring to ventilation detail drawing T531-2 during design and installation.

During installation, position the mesh with larger openings at the air inlet side.

Pressure measuring pipes shall be installed upstream and downstream of the filter and connected to a micromanometer. When the pressure drop reaches the design resistance value, the filter must be cleaned, re-oiled, and reinstalled.

To clean the filter screen, soak it in a 10% alkaline solution (such as soda ash) at 60–70℃, then dry and re-oil it.
